Aloysio Corrêa da Veiga was born in Petrópolis (RJ), where he graduated in Law from the Law School of the Catholic University of Petrópolis in 1974.
He joined the Labour Judiciary Branch in 1981, as a Substitute District Labour Judge of the 1st Region (Rio de Janeiro). He remained in the Regional Labour Court of the 1st Region, based in Rio de Janeiro, until 2004. In 1984, he was promoted to District Labour Court Judge of the Board of Conciliation and Judgment of Rio de Janeiro. He served as a Substitute Regional Labour Court Judge, in 1996, at the Regional Labour Court of the 1st Region, having been promoted, by merit, in January of the following year, to the position of Regional Labour Court Judge of the 1st Region (RJ), coming to preside the 6th Chamber of that Regional Court. On December 28th, 2004, he took place as a Superior Labour Court Justice.
He composed the National Council of Justice, as Counselor, in the 2017/2019 biennium, where he chaired the Commission for Operational Efficiency and People Management.
Director of the National School of Formation and Improvement of Labour Magistrates – ENAMAT in the 2011/2013 biennium.
General inspector of Labour Justice in the 2020/2022 biennium. He was a member of the Superior Council of Labour Justice (CSJT) – 2020/2022, the Special Body, the Specialized Section in Collective Bargains, Subsection I of the Specialized Section in Individual Bargains and Subsection II of the Specialized Section in Individual Bargains.
Member of the Brazilian Academy of Labour Law, of the Institute of Brazilian Lawyers, of the Brasiliense Academy of Labour Law, of the Paulista Academy of Legal Letters and honorary professor at the Law Scool of the Catholic University of Petrópolis. He is currently the Director of ENAMAT, integrates the Special Body and the Subsection I of the Specialized Section in Individual Bargains and presides over the 8th Chamber of the Superior Labour Court.
